John J. Hoffmann, FAIA

John is the founder of Hoffmann Architects + Engineers. A commitment to the nearly lost art of innovative, precise architectural detailing guides John’s direction of the remedial and restoration projects undertaken by the firm. He received his architecture degree from the City College of New York. In 1992, he was elevated to fellowship in the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for significant contribution to the field of architecture. He was named a Richard Upjohn Fellow of the AIA in 2006 for service to the profession.

John is an active member of many industry organizations, including the American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), Architects Declare, Building Enclosure Council (BEC), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), Connecticut Building Congress (CBC), Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
