Hoffmann Promotes Inderpal Singh and Robert Fraguada to Senior Project Coordinator

Hoffmann Architects + Engineers, a design firm specializing in the rehabilitation of building exteriors, is pleased to announce that Inderpal Singh and Robert Fraguada, both of the firm’s New York City office, have earned promotions to Senior Project Coordinator.

Inderpal Singh has been promoted to Senior Project Coordinator in recognition of his increased responsibilities and professional experience. Since joining Hoffmann in June 2023 as Senior Project Representative, Singh has made notable contributions to multiple high-profile projects in New York City, earning a promotion in April 2024 to Project Coordinator before attaining his current position.

With a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, one of India’s top educational institutions, as well as a master’s degree in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Singh has refined his ability to deliver technical expertise in addressing complex structural challenges. His areas of specialization include Periodic Inspection of Parking Structures (PIPS)/NYC Local Law 126 compliance investigations, facade replacement and repair design, tunnel and bridge investigations, structural assessment of distressed building elements, sidewalk vault rehabilitation, and historic roof restoration and repair. As a valued member of project teams, Singh is responsible for developing compliance reports, performing calculations, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing construction documents.

In his new role, Singh assumes additional responsibilities, including researching rehabilitation and repair alternatives, selecting building materials, preparing project specifications, and developing engineering solutions. He collaborates with project team members to develop technical design details that align with the project’s design direction and maintain code compliance. He also establishes project budgets, schedules, and milestones, communicating regularly with clients to provide design guidance and report on project progress.

A registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in New York, Singh holds certifications from the International Code Council (ICC) and the City of New York as a Structural Masonry Special Inspector. He is an associate member of SEAoNY and actively contributes to Hoffmann’s Emerging Professionals Group. In his time with Hoffmann, Singh quickly earned respect and admiration from coworkers and colleagues for his advanced analytical skills, quality workmanship, diligence, and easygoing demeanor.

Robert M. Fraguada, Assoc. AIA, has earned a promotion to Senior Project Coordinator, recognizing his leadership and contributions to the firm. Since joining the firm in 2018 as Project Representative, Fraguada has played a key role in building enclosure rehabilitation, specializing in facades, roofs, historic windows, hardscapes, and water infiltration diagnostics. Fraguada earned a promotion to Senior Project Representative in 2021 and to Project Coordinator in 2022, and now, after nearly seven years with the firm, he advances once again in recognition of his outstanding contributions.

Fraguada holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in construction management from Pratt Institute. Throughout his tenure with Hoffmann, Fraguada has worked on an array of projects across corporate, educational, government, healthcare, cultural, religious, and residential sectors. His recent projects include facade inspections and repairs for AT&T, roof replacements at The Morgan Library & Museum and at Masonic Hall NYC, and ongoing parapet reconstruction and facade inspections at the Argonaut Building. As Senior Project Coordinator, Fraguada works closely with project managers to develop client solutions, researches rehabilitation alternatives and repair systems, coordinates technical details, prepares project specifications, and conducts project site visits and progress meetings. His knowledge of building materials, codes, and New York City inspection and repair rules sets his work apart.

Beyond his project work, Fraguada is an accomplished photographer. His work has been shown in galleries in both New York and Colombia and was recently featured at the American Institute of Architects New York (AIA NY) Art by Architects Exhibit, at the Center for Architecture in Manhattan. Fraguada is a founding member of the Hoffmann Diversity and Inclusion Committee, as well as a regular participant on the New York office’s dodgeball and volleyball teams. Respected by colleagues and clients alike, Fraguada is an integral part of Hoffmann’s technical team, and his advancement reflects his continued commitment to excellence in the field.
