Since 2001, Hoffmann Architects + Engineers has worked with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation to restore, preserve, and maintain its expansive entertainment complex.

Beginning with a leak remediation study for a restaurant kitchen floor, Hoffmann has developed diverse design solutions at multiple locations throughout the property that include major structural repairs, waterproofing, masonry stabilization, building movement accommodation, and ongoing maintenance programs.

The Grand Pequot Garage and Great Cedar Garage were the focus of an extensive renovation and repair program designed and overseen by Hoffmann. As part of our involvement with the project, our architects and engineers provided mediation support for seismic design and construction defects. Our services included forensic investigation, seismic analysis, repair/retrofit design, report preparation, and photographic and diagrammatic documentation.

At the facility’s conference hotel tower, our design professionals provided additional litigation support services, in the form of condition evaluation, document review, standard of care analysis, and construction standards assessment. Hoffmann’s scrupulous investigation was critical to not only dispute resolution, but also rehabilitation of compromised building systems.
