Pfizer’s former Brooklyn manufacturing facility is covered by a 368,000 sf roof area that had to be maintained, repaired, and, periodically, replaced. Hoffmann was charged with prioritizing, designing, and coordinating remediations that addressed roof leaks and anticipated major reroofing expenditures. In addition, Hoffmann designed and administered the rehabilitation of the complex’s street-facing facades.
Basking Ridge, New Jersey was home to Pfizer’s North Maple Inn, a corporate conference center, guest residence, and recreational facility. Pfizer retained Hoffmann Architects + Engineers to evaluate the condition of the building, courtyards, and parking garage, and to recommend remedial repairs. Hoffmann designed and oversaw a repair program for the exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS), roofs, and concrete parking structure. A year later, Hoffmann was asked to conduct a follow-up survey to evaluate the success of the repairs, which proved to effectively eliminate sources of water entry.
At Pfizer’s Peapack, New Jersey campus, a complex of ten buildings, Hoffmann evaluated two freestanding parking structures and an underground garage. Based on this investigation, Pfizer asked Hoffmann to design and direct a rehabilitation program, which included masonry, concrete, traffic coatings, expansion joints, sealants, flashings, and drains.
Connecticut projects include the Global Development Facility in New London, for which Hoffmann developed a parking garage preventative maintenance program, as well as Pfizer’s Groton facility, where we designed and oversaw facade and roof rehabilitation.
Our engineers also conducted a structural peer review of roofing designs for Pfizer Global Manufacturing in Puerto Rico.
Hoffmann’s relationship with Pfizer Inc. is based on the proven results of our long project history.
